Sealed the Deal
A minor leak of hydraulic oil from the log splitter pump not bad for a machine in constant use for 10 years meant checking and replacing four seals two small and two large. Obviously had to remove the pump casing replace the seals and reassemble but not a big job.

These seals are much harder than the ones I had in my off the shelf multipack which just squished out. The huge pressure requires the correct O rings .

Log splitter spare parts
fitted the seal kit and pistons assembly for my 12 year old log splitter but found the machine still not working. Eventually found the factory preset oil return assembly was the problem. As this was not listed in the spares for the splitter I called the shop and they sent out a spare. great service
